A leading FTG supplier, Simply Lunch launched in South London in 1979, and now offers a range of sustainable products, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruits, hot eats and more.
This latest funding boost has come from the Boparan Investment Fund, known as 11:11 Capital Partners Limited, having acquired a strategic shareholding.
“Simply Lunch is an impressive business with a strong heritage, trusted customer relationships and a commitment to quality and innovation,” added Boparan. “We look forward to supporting its long-term growth through our strategic expertise, investment and network.”
Sam Page, Simply Lunch managing director, said: “We have significant opportunities ahead of us and 11:11 Capital Partners shares our values and ambition for the future. Their investment and strategic support will help us build on our strengths, accelerate growth and create further opportunities. As shareholders and leaders of Simply Lunch, we will remain in our roles and continue to operate the business.”
Simply Lunch is also launching a new Christmas range for struggling families. For the fourth year running, the brand is partnering with Meals & More, donating 12p from every Ultimate Festive Feast sold to help provide meals and support for children facing poverty across the UK. The initiative launches on 2 November.
The Simply Lunch investment follows Boparan Private Office pumping £500,000 into Little Treats Bakery, part of the Roberts bakery business acquired a year ago, via a pre-pack deal. It saved over 400 jobs following a major fire in 2023.
